Yuvraj could have been treated earlier: Yograj SinghZeenews Sports Bureau

New Delhi: Yuvraj Singh’s father, Yograj Singh, has thanked BCCI and its president for their support in these tough times for the cricketer but says the treatment could have started much before.

“I believe that Yuvraj could have been treated earlier but for some unknown reason it was delayed. By now he could have recovered.” he said.

Commenting on the state of Yuvraj’s diagnosis, he said the southpaw was responding well to the treatment and will emerge a better player after recovering from the illness.

“Yuvraj is being treated by the same doctor who once treated Lance Armstrong and he will emerge stronger and even a better player after recovering from the illness becoming the greatest of all times.” he said.

Yograj Singh, who is a former cricketer, says the treatment might take 4-6 months.

“The doctors are of the opinion that this treatment may take 4-6 months or even a year. He might get well by March. The doctors are saying that Yuvraj will go back as a new champion,” he told a news channel.
